As a home-grown Hunter based business it was fitting to collaborate with the Hughes Family, Hunter Region locals and community advocates as a Brand Ambassadors for McCloy Group.
Mark Hughes has been a local to the Hunter Region from day one, with grass roots in Kurri Kurri and a strong history with the Newcastle Knights, likewise Kirralee Hughes has too been a proud Novocastrian having grown up in Minmi.
However, it is the family values of Mark and wife Kirralee along with their involvement in giving back to the community which aligned the Hughes family with McCloy Group.
Together their family share a passion for Novocastrian culture, community and traditions as well as being a driving force across Australia in the incredible work they do for Brain Cancer Research through the Mark Hughes Foundation, since launching in 2014.
The pair first met at Broadmeadow races and have been inseparable ever since. Since marrying in 2004 the Hughes’ have welcomed three beautiful children Zac, Dane and Bonnie and have a clear focus on nurturing their strong family unit here in the Hunter.
“We both come from really strong family units and very similar backgrounds, so we have a lot of the same values, and we really try to instil those values in our children” Kirralee Hughes.
Despite having had their fair share of life’s hurdles, the standout traits of positivity, determination and passion for bettering outcomes within their community are noticeable from the moment you meet Mark and Kirralee, making for a seamless alignment of their family with the core values of McCloy Group.
“Having seen first-hand the work of McCloy Group throughout the Hunter and NSW, both in the residential community space and charitable initiatives our family are proud to be on board with a local business who puts the people within its community at the forefront of their work. Take a look around the Hunter and you’ll see time and time again communities, charities and events that McCloy Group been part of.” Mark Hughes
