McCloy Family Foundation Charity Gala to raise awareness and support for victims of Domestic Violence!

The McCloy Family Foundation today announced their first Charity Gala, to be held this September, will focus on raising funds and awareness for local domestic violence support service, Jenny’s Place.

The Family Foundation was established by Hunter-based development group, McCloy Group, with a mission to support Hunter communities to build for a stronger future.

Hayley Van de Stadt, CEO of McCloy Family Foundation said that the Foundation would seek to highlight a charity within our community, bringing attention to their cause by way of a Gala Evening.

“Our core focus for 2022 is domestic violence, which is a growing area of concern in Australia and our local community” Hayley told us.
The inaugural event will be held on Friday 9th September at Merewether Surfhouse. The Gala includes a premium food and beverage package inclusive of major auction items, raffle prizes, live music and entertainment.

“One hundred percent of ticket sales and earnings on the night will go directly to Jenny’s Place,” Hayley said, with event overheads covered by the McCloy Group.

Hosted by Newcastle’s own leading lady, Jess Farchione of Hit 106.9, the Gala boasts a memorable line-up including dance-band Jerome and comedian Cam Knight. Guests will enjoy a fun night out, with laughs aplenty, all in support of an incredible cause.
Jenny’s Place was selected as the 2022 charity partner, for their lifechanging work amongst women and children in our community. They have provided relief and support to those who are experiencing domestic violence or homelessness since they established their first women’s refuge in Newcastle in 1977.

Their dedicated team supports more than 1,200 women each year. They are committed to keeping women and children in our community safe, housed and free from violence and aim to help their clients break the cycle of violence and live secure lives.

Executive Manager, Marcia Chapman, said “Domestic violence is a serious issue in Australia and in the Hunter region. Too many women continue to lose their lives to their intimate partners each year. Thousands more live in fear in violent relationships.”

“We are really pleased to be the charity partner for the McCloy Family Foundation’s first Gala event, to be held in September,” Ms Chapman said. “The funds will enable our early intervention and prevention services to be delivered through the Newcastle Domestic Violence Resource Centre. They will also contribute to supporting children in our care with counselling when they need it most, and raise awareness in the community about Jenny’s Place services.”

“We hope you will support the Foundation to make this first gala a huge success – to help break the cycle of violence in our community.”
The McCloy family created their Family Foundation with a unified goal to create better outcomes for the community around them. They aim to leave behind a legacy that extends beyond their business to philanthropy, through compassion, kindness and empathy.

Headed by Jeff, wife Tracey and daughters Hayley and Blake, the McCloy Family Foundation reflects the family’s innovative approach to communities and creating places and opportunities, especially here in the Hunter Region, which will better the lives of those in our community.

“For us, Jenny’s Place stood out as a charity doing incredible work in the Hunter, one which could achieve even higher goals with additional support. Being able to provide this support and seeing the funds immediately help women and children in need, but also educate and spread awareness within our community to help stop domestic violence at the source is something we are all passionate about” Hayley added.

The McCloy Family Foundation alongside Jenny’s Place hope you can join them on the evening of September 9th in an effort to improve the lives and outcomes of women and children here in the Hunter. It stems from their joint conviction that no one should experience domestic violence.

Tickets can now be secured for $189 per person or $169 per person for a table of 10. Tickets can be purchased knowing that 100% of ticket sales and any earnings on the evening will be going directly to Jenny’s Place. Find out more via mccloyfamilyfoundation.com.au/events-gala
