Work has started at the Hunter Valley’s newest address, Hereford Hill. Created by award-winning developers, McCloy Group, the 25ha parcel of land off the New England Highway will provide 280 new homesites for more than 600 residents.

To kick off the project Clarendon Homes founder Peter Campbell and McCloy Group Managing Director Brian Swaine joined to break ground on the display home centre.

Mr Swaine said that the location has “a beautiful rural setting” and the McCloy Group jumped at the opportunity to be part of its development.

“It has been very well received by the market. The first registrations will be in the next month or so…hopefully people will be moving in by Christmas,” he said.

“We are trying to put our normal McCloy stamp as a masterplan residential community. We are trying to provide all those additional amenities. We provide everything from housing to childcare centre…to public parks”.

Clarendon Homes will be the first builder to commit to the site – with work starting on their luxury homestead design, The Bowral 44.

NSW sales managed David Bourke said the organisation saw the opportunity with the huge amount of growth in the Lochinvar area. “We’ve got a great relationship with the McCloy Group and we were quick to get into discussions with those guys” he said.

“We are going to display a big ranch style home called The Bowral which will be an entry road home into Hereford Hill. We think that the ranch style home will fit in with all the surrounding areas and up through the Hunter and appeal to a lot of people. We will also be building two other standardised plans.

“We see a lot of synergies between Clarendon Homes and the McCloy Group”

There will also be multiple designs from leading home builders including McDonald Jones Homes, Mojo Homes, Eden Brae and also Metricon.

Hereford Hill is located at the entrance to the Lochinvar Urban Release Area, which has been identified as a major housing, transport and service in the Maitland Regional Strategy.
