Award-winning developers McCloy Group & Stevens Group, have released their latest community, expanding their portfolio in the Hunter Region with The Loxford, a masterplanned community spanning 2000ha off Cessnock Road in Maitland.

The initial release on Saturday 7th October offered the first homesites to the market at The Loxford and saw a sell-out release day 1, with an list of eager house hunters on standby for information on the next land release!

Both the Albion and Hampstead Releases attracted keen interest from buyers for several weeks in the lead up to the launch, with prospective buyers so eager to secure their piece of the community, some arrived from the Thursday prior willing to camp out to ensure their block of choice was secured. Other keen purchasers joined the line up early Saturday morning.

In total in excess of 1500 people attended their Free Family Event to launch The Loxford. With plenty on offer from a Red Bull Air Show, a visit by Hunter footy legend Mark Hughes and his lovely wife Kirralee, FREE activities for the kids including petting zoo and jumping castles, giveaways, FREE coffee, food trucks and leading home builders showcasing their designs.

“The launch day was a great way to connect with the surrounding community and we’re pleased to see the interest was largely local families” commented Shane Boslem McCloy Group Development Director.

“We received really good feedback about the quality of the development and future plans for a Regional children’s park and playground here at The Loxford. The local builders in attendance also reported keen interested in building in the area and the opportunity it provides for families” continued Mr Boslem.

The Loxford is a premium land offering with a strong sense of community and an abundance of nature and convenience. A community the team behind the project describe as ‘a place where contemporary living meets a wholesome family lifestyle.’

The Loxford has been designed to work with the natural landscape, factoring in benched homesites and gentle slope to allowed for unique home designs along with options from 500m2 to over 1000m2 so there is ample choice for a variety of buyers.

Notably The Loxford has a large environmental footprint, with 800ha of the 2000ha site protected under Biodiversity Stewardship.

Hunter footy legend Mark Hughes and wife Kirralee joined in the festivities Saturday and said “it is great to see that the stunning wetlands have been retained and that plans are in place to embellish them for all to enjoy, whilst opening housing opportunities for young families”.

True to McCloy’s approach, a statement entry feature will be expansive, sitting at the entry to the community on both sides of the new TfNSW intersection. There will be gabion walls, a unique public art instalment titled ‘Carbon Balance’ by David Ball and a mature fig tree.

Continuing their commitment to public art, a striking piece is already in place, celebrated by many attendees of the launch event. A larger than life Gorilla by Gillies and Marc.

“It was great to see so many locals get involved at the launch event, we really felt that the community is embracing The Loxford positively” Kirralee Hughes told us.

“The inclusions by McCloy & Stevens Group from the free family day, to a Regional park and playground catering for all ages and the sponsorships of local sporting clubs such as the Kurri Bulldogs clearly shows their commitment to giving back to the local community here through The Loxford.” Mark Hughes added.

“We’d like to thank everyone who joined us on Saturday, the community, builders and our future residents who secured their homesite on Saturday” added Mr Boslem.
