Hunter based property developer, McCloy Group announced partnership with Novocastrian family behind the highly acclaimed not-for-profit charity Mark Hughes Foundation, Mark and Kirralee Hughes.
McCloy Group are Hunter born and bred, having first established in Belmont in 1961. The home-grown hunter-based property development group are well known for their residential communities in the region and have a strong history in charitable work and community support.
The Hughes family come on board, bringing a fresh family perspective to the Group and a complimentary outlook on bettering the outcomes of people around them. However, it is the family values of Mark and wife Kirralee along with their involvement in giving back to the community which aligned the Hughes family with McCloy Group.
The family is already enriched in the fabric of Hunter Region, Mark having his grass roots in Kurri Kurri and a strong history with the Newcastle Knights, likewise Kirralee has too been a proud Novocastrian having grown up in Minmi.
Since marrying in 2004 the Hughes’ have welcomed three beautiful children Zac, Dane and Bonnie and have a clear focus on nurturing their strong family unit here in the Hunter.
Together their family share a passion for Novocastrian culture, community and traditions as well as being a driving force across Australia in the incredible work they do for Brain Cancer Research through the Mark Hughes Foundation, since launching in 2014.
“We both come from really strong family units and very similar backgrounds, so we have a lot of the same values, and we really try to instil those values in our children” Kirralee Hughes.
The Hughes family’s role within McCloy Group will see them drive awareness for charities supported by the McCloy Family Foundation and become the face of the Group’s residential communities within the Hunter Region.
Despite having had their fair share of life’s hurdles, the standout traits of positivity, determination, and giving back to their community are evident from the moment you meet Mark and Kirralee.
“Mark and Kirralee share a passion for bettering the lives of people around them, especially here in the Hunter. Seeing what they’ve achieved through their own foundation and as a family unit made them the perfect representation of the values of the McCloy Group” commented McCloy Group Chairman, Jeff McCloy.

Not to mention an array of exciting projects in the pipeline including masterplanned community The Loxford in Maitland and Cessnock, a site spanning 2000ha promising to bring not only housing to the region but also job opportunities and community support. With long term projects, McCloy Group is set to continue its positive imprint, particularly here in the Hunter for decades to come.
